Bakersfield Bobby Sox is a fast pitch softball league for girls ages 4-18. There are no tryouts in Bobby Sox. All girls will get to play regardless of their experience. We stress the 5 ships: Friendship, Sportsmanship, Leadership, Citizenship and Scholarship.
*News, News, News* The 6U Division is now player pitch! Please have a girl deliver the first three pitches. (Underhand...no partial or full windmill.) If the batter fails to hit the players pitches, a staff pitcher will then deliver up to three more; if none are hit the batter is awarded first base. The teams should also be playing defense! If a girl is tagged/forced out, the play should be recognized. Each team will still bat through their line-ups each inning. Bottom line, we need to introduce the game of softball to these young girls in a positive and fun way. *ATTENTION*
Check us out on Facebook Bakersfield Bobby Sox registration fees for the 2013 season are as follows: 8u thru American Girl division $175. 6U division $150 plus a $40 refundable snack bar fee per girl. Your $40 will be refunded upon completion of your assigned snack bar shift! BOBBY SOX (6U).............................. Our season will finish up the first week of June 2013. Please remember there is no smoking, no ice chests of any kind, no dogs or pets, no vehicles, no bicycles or skateboards and no alcohol use allowed on any of our practice fields or at West High School! Anyone continuing to not follow these rules will be asked to leave the facility and not come back. We have a signed contract with the school districts and must follow these policies or risk losing all of our practice and playing fields.
