Bakersfield Bobby Sox is a fast pitch softball league for girls ages 4-18. There are no tryouts in Bobby Sox. All girls will get to play regardless of their experience. We stress the 5 ships: Friendship, Sportsmanship, Leadership, Citizenship and Scholarship.

Please remember there is no smoking, no ice chests of any kind, no dogs or pets, no vehicles, no bicycles or skateboards and no alcohol use allowed on any of our practice fields or at West High School! Anyone continuing to not follow these rules will be asked to leave the facility and not come back. We have a signed contract with the school districts and must follow these policies or risk losing all of our practice and playing fields.

There are some new rules regarding the "buddy system" with teams. They are: In the Mini Sox division we can put as many as 10 girls on the same team who are friends. We will need to know this when the girls register. In all other divisions girls may have 1 team buddy as long as she has never played Bobby Sox before.

Once the team draws have been completed the buddy system is no longer in effect.

MNI SOX (6U) .................................. Players Born 2004 - 2006 (Eligible if turns 7 on Jan 1 or after)
BOBBY SOX (8U) ............................. Players Born 2002 - 2003 (Eligible if turns 9 on Jan 1 or after)
BOBBY SOX (10U)............................ Players Born 2000 - 2001 (Eligible if turns 11 on Jan 1 or after)
BOBBY SOX (12U) ........................... Players Born 1998 - 1999 (Eligible if turns 13 on Jan 1 or after)
AMERICAN GIRL (18U) .................... Players Born 1996 - 1992 (Eligible if turns 15 Jan 1 or after)
